As of 5 September, Dr. Zdenka Dudová will join the IT coordination of the German Biobank Node (GBN). Together with Dr. Cecilia Engels, she will work on the expansion of the IT network within the German Biobank Alliance (GBA) and also promote the link with the European biobank network BBMRI-ERIC.

Dudová previously worked as IT coordinator for bbmri.cz, the national node of the European biobank network BBMRI-ERIC in the Czech Republic. There she gained extensive experience in data harmonisation and the implementation of IT tools in biobanking workflows. She continues to co-chair the BBMRI-ERIC federated search platform task force and is a member of the Czech working group on sensitive data processing within the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) initiative.

Zdenka Dudová holds a PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology.
