The German Biobank Node (GBN) has set up an online forum for biobank technicians. The forum on the ILIAS learning platform enables technicians to exchange information with each other, for example on technical questions, tips on interesting events or simply to network. The forum is open to staff of all biobanks; a partnership in the German Biobank Alliance (GBA) is not necessary.
The online forum is a building block in GBN's further training offers for biobank technicians. This year, GBN will additionally make online courses available via ILIAS, which will complement the practical on-site trainings that have already been taking place successfully since 2018. However, participation in the courses as well as on-site trainings is reserved for technicians of GBA biobanks.
