Gianluigi Zanetti, Director of the Advanced Computing and Communications Programme at the Center for Advanced Studies, Research and Development in Sardinia (CRS4), passed away last weekend. He was killed when the microlight he was travelling in crashed. As a member of the Scientific and Ethical Advisory Board (SEAB), Zanetti was an important advisor and initiator for the German Biobank Node (GBN) and German Biobank Alliance (GBA). He will be greatly missed.
