The annual meeting of the Scientific and Ethical Advisory Board (SEAB) of the German Biobank Node (GBN) took place on 11 and 12 November in Berlin.

In its anniversary year, 2024, the GBN is releasing a series of videos, the last of which features members of the Steering Committee expressing their wishes for the future.

Seit 2017 verleiht BBMRI-ERIC sogenannte Quality Labels an entsprechend geeignete Biobanken. Für auditierte GBA-Biobanken gilt ein angepasster Vergabeprozess.

IBM has been a GBA partner since December, having previously held observer status. The basis for this step was a successfully completed "friendly audit".

The seventh video in the series celebrates a double anniversary: it is dedicated to the "Sample Locator" search tool, which was launched five years ago.
