We support biobanks in developing training programmes for their technical staff.

Project partner OBER

The main GBN project partner for the development of online training for biobank technical staff is OBER (The Office of Biobank Education and Research), which is part of the Department of Pathology at the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, Canada). OBER has been active as a training platform since the 2010s and supports Canadian biobanks in the development of standardised training programmes.

Cooperation with OBER:

The aim is to adapt and implement the Canadian online training programme "Introduction to Biobanking" to German requirements, taking into account the technical staff as the main user group.
