Stakeholder Engagement

Biobanken brauchen die Bereitschaft vieler Akteure, sich zu engagieren und einzubringen.

Stakeholder Engagement ist ein kritischer Faktor für den Erfolg einer Biobank. Biobanken müssen zwischen den Interessen von Wissenschaftler*innen, Ärzt*innen, Förderern, Probenspender*innen und der Öffentlichkeit vermitteln und alle Perspektiven in ihre Governance integrieren.


Biobanken stehen vor der Herausforderung, die Sichtweisen und Interessen vieler verschiedener Stakeholder zu integrieren, um erfolgreich und nachhaltig zu bestehen. Angefangen bei den Probenspender*innen, die ein möglichst weit gefasstes und langfristiges Einverständnis zur Verwendung ihrer Probe geben sollen, über Ärzt*innen, die Proben im Klinikalltag für die Forschung sammeln, bis hin zu Politik, Förderinstitutionen, Klinikleitungen sowie der breiten Öffentlichkeit. Für jede Zielgruppe werden geeignete Engagement-Strategien benötigt – GBN unterstützt die Biobanken bei deren Entwicklung.

Ziele im Bereich Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Strategien und Konzepte entwickeln, um Ärzt*innen und Wissenschaftler*innen, die Biobankengemeinschaft, Patient*innen und Proband*innen sowie die Industrie einzubinden
  • Biobanken bei der Einbindung von Stakeholdern unterstützen
  • Biobanking in der breiten Öffentlichkeit bekannter machen
