At midterm – one year and a half after funding by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) started in 2017 – the German Biobank Node (GBN) and German Biobank Alliance (GBA) report about the achievements made so far.
From an IT tool for the cross-location search for biomaterials and associated data, a QM handbook, ring trials, an information campaign for biomaterial donors, to further education offers for technical staff: the report features “highlights“ of GBN and GBA. Approximately 90% of the planned milestones could be reached during the first half of the current funding period, laying a solid basis for continuously successful work.
